Welcome to Rebel Town:
Colonial Boston, 1773.
Celebrate the upcoming 250th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party with Rebel Town! Our show follows Samuel Adams, several historical figures, and the Sons and Daughters of Liberty (including a working class couple and a young apprentice boy named Peter Slater Jr.) as the tea crisis comes comes to a tipping point in the immediate days before the destruction of the tea on December 16th, 1773. Following the tea's destruction at the end of Act One, time speeds up during Act Two as the aftermath of the tea party leads to Boston's punishment: the intolerable acts of King George, the closing of Boston's ports, and the institution of martial law in the city as 4,000 Redcoat soldiers are sent to occupy the town. The show closes with Paul Revere's ride in 1775, at the start of the Revolutionary War.
